Advanced RF Transceiver Architecture Phase I
A common chassis for multiple platforms and missions, a congested EMS, the USN and USA need to keep current with spectrum ingest demands for SIGINT/ESM. Perceptive Innovations and our team will build an advanced RF Transceiver Architecture drawing on high TRL “RF bricks”, enabling greatly increased instantaneous bandwidth (IBW), full spectral coverage, upgraded FPGAs maintaining compatibility, all with world-class SIGINT performance and the proven quality and reliability of our RF design house partner.
This effort will develop a dynamically reconfigurable, minimal latency and power VPX Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Transceiver to simultaneously handle thousands of diverse, possibly overlapping signals for multi-functional situational awareness. This research will do this by looking at RF instantaneous bandwidth (IBW) and increasing FPGA computational capacity, while maintaining or increasing performance and power efficiency. This will preserve the large investment in SIGINT software running on the current common chassis.
